An effective description will contain sufficient and varied elaboration of details to communicate a sense of the subject being described. Details used are usually sensory and selected to describe what the writer sees, hears, smells, touches, and tastes. I learnt that apart from the sensory description, that writers are to keep their writing organized so that readers are able to follow and understand. Use precise wording to engross readers. Use figurative language, which readers are able to identify the comparisons.
